This doesn't happen too often, but in some places we've seen tourists to be more conscientious about their ecosystems than some of their local guides. This is one such instance we experienced in Costa Rica.
Here's a Green Leaf Frog resting in the late afternoon. As we photographed it, we found a tourist guide aggressively trying to handle it in order to give his clients a better vantage point for photographing. We were extremely upset but eventually decided not to speak out.
Has any of you experienced a similar situation where the officials seemed to be less caring to their environments? What did you do at this time?
